On Sunday, May 31, 2015 the Holy Church celebrates the feast of the Holy Trinity or "Pentecost". The feast of Pentecost commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles on the fiftieth day after the Resurrection of Christ. The triumphant singing of the hymn "O Heavenly King" was first sung during the Great Vespers service, served the night before.
The Divine Liturgy was celebrated by the parish clergy along with a multitude of believers. The festal epistle, marked the event in which Apostles witnessed the descent of the Holy Spirit. At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, the Great Vespers of Pentecost was served, along with the Kneeling Prayers. With the abundant greens in the church, along with a strong sense of prayer from the believers, it was more than clear, that the Holy Spirit was among us, and every church celebrating the feast of the Holy Trinity.
